Clam Digging

You'll definitely enjoy the fruits of your labor on this fun day-trip adventure!
Land on the beach at low tide with your shovel and bucket and get to digging.  Rain boots recommended.

For extra fun I recommend bringing a friend or two along.
And maybe something fun to roast over a beach campfire for lunch.
Mama-Jacque's Clam recipe:
Open shells.  Cut out clams.  Rinse and pat dry.
Dunk clam meat into beaten eggs.
Roll in flour with salt & pepper.
Fry in hot oil for a couple minutes.
Enjoy pipping hot!

Dinner never tasted so good!

Gory

This is my friend Gory. He may be your friend too. Or maybe he's your Chudda.  He's become that to me since I moved back to Alaska 9 months ago. He is so cheerful and sees the bright side of life. And he's been telling me wonderful stories of the good ole days and the Native ways.
I went to visit him at ANS for a bit. His walls are getting filled with notes and pictures from those who love him. If you ever get a chance to go see him, I know he would love to have you visit too!

He'll brighten up your day.

New Engine!

Lyle, Aaron, and Brian worked for two days installing a new engine on 09Z.  Doesn't it look snazy?  They found a curved prop somewhere for a REALLY good deal and put that on too.  Keep your eyes open and maybe you'll get to see it.

It's hard to savor when it's so tasty.
Thank you so much Valerie!

Passengers of the Day!

Name: Baby Andrew! (and his parents Josh & Julie)
Birthplace: Anchorage, Alaska
I'm going to live in: Port Alsworth
A 'Must Have' item when I fly is: Mommy.

Traveling for: Going home for the first time!  I was so excited, but I slept through the photo shoot. You should check me out when you get a chance though, cause I'm super cute!
You may be surprised to know this: In January my parents flew to Anchorage for a doctor check-up, and I was born that very night - 10 weeks early.  That's 2 1/2 months!  I was just 2 lbs. 1 oz. and spent the next 3 months in the NICU.  I'm all good now though so everyone is praising God for taking care of one of his tiniest peeps!
