Siete' de Mayo!

We missed Cinco de Mayo.

So everyone here at Lake and Pen Air made up a new holiday, with a name that's really similar.
We're pretty sure it will be just as easy to remember. O'lay!!

Freight of the day...

We transport all kinds of freight around Alaska.

Today's fragile, noisy, and boisterous freight is a birthday present for a very special boy in Lake Clark.
A box of ducks should be on every boys birthday wish list at some point!

Grilled Bananas

We're pretty sure Brian's life & work moto is:
"Why put off a party until this afternoon when you can have it right now?!"

So he just grilled some bananas with different chocolate candies and marshmallows inside!
Easy, fast and super tasty!

Have you been to Lake Clark National Park?

Dave delivered a load of supplies to a remote cabin, giving them the goods to make it a few more months in the woods.
Or perhaps you would like to climb some un-named peak and make first tracks down a hidden glacier!
Come fly with Lake and Pen Air throughout Alaska or in our local playground, otherwise known as the Alaska Range!!

"At least I saved my pants!"

That's what Aaron said yesterday upon finding out the ER people would not be cutting off his nice jeans to get to his broken leg.
A simple slip on the ice broke his fibula just above the right ankle. It also tore ligaments and shifted the foot plate. Ouch!

Since then it has swelled up quite a bit and is an aurora borealis of brilliant colors. Here's Aaron signing papers for his surgery on April 3rd. He'll be getting a metal plate and 4 screws to keep forever!
Next on his list: No work allowed for 3-4 weeks. Boring!

Future plans: Roller blade street hockey.

What a view!

Lake & Pen Air is located in the perfect spot in Anchorage, Alaska! We have it all: unobstructed views of the Chugach Mountain Range, downtown, pink sunrises, and orange sunsets! It's quite spectacular!
Whatever time of year you happen to be visiting is the right time to take a tour of the most beautiful state! Or, just come have a cup of coffee with us and watch the planes take off and land.
