The mid-winter sun rays in Port Alsworth

Suns rays flood Port Alsworth as they pour through the southern mountain tops during the winter months. Depending on the month and day, the rays are only visible for 12-15 minutes at a time as the sun passes between the peeks.
They aren't especially warm this time of year, but they are whole heartedly welcomed. They feel somewhat life giving to the 200-ish residents of the remote Lake Clark National Park community.

Come visit! All you need is some warm winter gear and an attitude for adventure!
